What we learnt and experienced:

  1. History of the Roma in terms of their origin and enslavement for over 500 years until the 19th century in Europe and its effect on this ethnic group in theur various aspects of life and how it has been addressed so far
  2. Social-economic situation of the Roma population today
  3. Integration initiatives in Romania in terms of eduction/ health/ settlement and social integration and how effective they are or have been in the past
  4. Roles,responsibilties and impact of professionals in the integration of Roma communities who are Romas by ethnicity and their vision for their ethnic group
  5. The prominent role of of culture in the integration process
  6. Intergration possibilties - potential collaboration ideas as it is a very prominent and sensitve topic
